Sally Browning Pearson
Sally is a native Floridian, born at home in Apopka, Florida.
She started her career as an artist in 1989 when her Aunt gave her $50 to buy a painting for her new home in Inverness, Florida. After visiting many art fairs and street shows she decided to take watercolor lessons and paint her own picture. (She couldn't find a painting for $50.00)
Sally's watercolors, done mostly in the traditional style, depict scenes from her native Florida and her travels from Florida to Nova Scotia. However, she doesn't always stick to the traditional, experimenting with inks, acrylics, watercolor lifts and her imagination.
Sally has won many watercolor awards over the years and the one she is most proud of is the acceptance of her first Acrylic Painting in the International Society of Acrylic Painters/ Florida Chapter last year and even won a prize.
Sally sells her work out of Marsh Rabbit Gallery and Zafka Studios in downtown Jensen Beach, and teaches
out of her home studio in Port St. Lucie, FL. Currently she has a beginner class on Monday and an Intermediate Class on Saturday.
